VICTORIAN MAHOGANY METAMORPHIC LIBRARY STEP CHAIR, late 19th century, and it's non-metamorphic pair, both with pierced triangular pediment and twin obelisks above a rectangular backplate inset with glazed ceramic tiles, the Tempest, and Cymbeline, the seats with moulded edges, above turned and tapering front legs, 92cm high x 43cm wide; the metamorphic example 90cm high when formed as steps (2)
