A 19TH CENTURY MAHOGANY PLANTER'S CHAIR
each arm extending to allow the sitter a foot rest, with paisley pattern covers, on baluster turned front legs and outswept rear legs, 96cm high x 72cm wide. The planter's chair was invented in colonial India, where the ladies and gentlemen were often advised to take rest whilst having their legs raised.
