late 18th /early 19th century, the fall front enclosing a fully fitted interior with pigeonholes and drawers, one with pine liner inscribed with provenance details: FORTY FIVE DOLLARS WAS THE PRICE GRANDFATHER WEBSTER PAID THOMAS CLARK FOR THIS DESK 1831, and with further detail; above twin lopers, four graduated drawers and bracket feet,
