AN AESTHETIC MOVEMENT EBONISED WOOD AND GILT METAL MOUNTED TORCHERE OR VASE STAND,
circa 1870, the circular top with a knopped and waisted shaft terminal, within three monopodial legs descending from zoomorphic masks to a triform splat with an urn, with paw cast feet on projecting blocks on the ring base,
The item bears the usual minor scuffs and knocks, overall consistent with age and use. the top has circa 12"split right through it. Gilding to the base has been retoughed. otherwise satisfactoruy order.
