PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM TO A HEER SOLDIER INVOLVED IN THE INVASION OF BELARUS / PREVIOUS RAD SERVICE

Estimate: £200 - £300
Bidding ended. Lot is unsold.

Direct from a house clearance in Germany. First time on the market.

The photograph album covers the career of Ernst Schaack from 5th April 1940 until around 1942. He first served in RAD ABT 3/320 Schifferstadt Pflaz from 5th April 1940 until 28th September 1940. Lots of pictures of high-ranking RAD officers and his time with the unit

After that, he transferred to the Heer, and the photographs show the early invasion of the East and then the first snowfall. Some pictures look to show Russian or Eastern civilians. There are pictures of the aftermath of fighting and a shot of some dead Red Army Soldiers. Later there are a few pictures of Belarus. Pictures also included his comrades and German graves.

Wonderful album in excellent condition
