Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.
The lot consists of three albums that look to have belonged to a German Anti-Aircraft Officer who for a time was perhaps an Aerial Observer and Spotter.
The first few pages in the large album show German Aircraft on Flight, taken from other aircraft. Damaged German Aircraft and German bombers. The album the rest of the album then shows airfield defences and anti-aircraft positions. Along with many German officers. A letter is also inside congratulating the unit (Koflak 4) on the number of Aircraft that have been shot down. The outside cover bares an iron Cross dated 1914.
The second album shows some range spotting equipment, and mainly shows comrades and friends. Many uniform shots.
The third Album shows civilian life in German in the immediate post war years and 1920’s. The family look to have been very affluent.
A stunning piece of history and rare.
