17th century, probably previously a picture frame, the centres of each side with grotesque masks flanked by scrolling foliage and strapwork on a reverse ogee moulding, 108 x 132cm

Overall measurements 108 x 132cm

Object bears the usual minor knocks and scuffs, overall consistent with age and use. Some areas of more significant chipping at exposed extremities, some of which have been over painted with ‘gold paint’. Diagonal cracks at each corner where the joints lie beneath. These are entirely stable. Traces of old worming to the back. The mirror plate backing has deteriorated and is spotted overall.
