Bidding ended. Lot is unsold.

The commode bears the usual minor knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age and use.

The marble is in good order, being of a brick red/brown base colour with white and black striations. There are natural fault lines in it throughout, but no obvious actual breaks or restorations.

There are traces of old worming to the pine top beneath the marble. There is a horizontal baton at the top of the backboards which has dry rot. The backboards are probably later replaced.

There are minor replacements to veneers at the front. The metalware appears to be original and there are no signs of earlier fixing holes.

Generally, the lot is in good order and remains highly presentable.
