Provenance: Found amongst the collection of Joyce Knowles, who with her husband Pat, befriended Lawrence and was custodian of Clouds Hill in Dorset for 53 years.

Although there is no documentary evidence it is reasonable to assume these were at Clouds Hill and the property of T.E Lawrence.

following his 13 May 1935 accident on his Brough Superior SS100 motorcycle in Dorset close to his cottage Clouds Hill, near Wareham. Lawrence was fatally injured and died six days later at Bovington Camp, 73cm x 47.5cm, housed in a perspex clip frame
