Cecil Herbert Knight was born on October 31st 1898, in Southampton and was a Rivet Heater by trade. He joined the Royal Navy on May 6th 1914. He was present at the Battle of Jutland on HMS King George. Knight survived the war and was awarded the Long Service Good Conduct Medal in 1931.
