A PAIR OF ROSEWOOD AND KINGWOOD SIDE TABLES OF LOUIS XV STYLE

the quarter veneered tops within a wide crossbanded border, the breakfront frieze set with three porcelain panels depicting rustic scenes after Watteau on a green ground highlighted with gilding, within gilt metal mounts, on slender scroll legs with “ormolu” caryatid mounts and sabot feet, 86cm wide

There are the inevitable minor dents, marks, scratches and shrinkage cracks consistent with age and use.

1. minor veneer losses to the inside of the legs just above the feet. A small piece of  metal moulding loose on the right side. Mounts lightly tarnished.


2. Small chip at rear edge of top. Mounts lightly tarnished.


Both are in good untouched 'country house' condiiton with a really lovely surface.
