Trained at Central St. Martins and worked for many years in a contemporary London art gallery. She recently completed an MA at NUA, specialising in print. She regularly exhibits her work, and illustrates for various publications.
Scholfield’s figurative painting, printmaking, and narratives about women, are rooted simultaneously in the past and the present within ancient objects. There is a quiet mention of feminism alongside pattern and textiles that intimately weave stories with costume, embellishment and natural history.
