Literature: Jessica Rawson: "Chinese Jade from the Neolithic to the Qing", the British Museum Press, published 1995, illustrates a comparable horse on page 373, 26:16. The author describes the jade as Yuan or later and compares it to a pair of kneeling horses at Xiaoling near Nanjing, the 14th century tomb of the Hongwu Emperor.
