A CHINESE WHITE JADE BELT HOOK

carved in openwork and undercut with a chilong crawling towards the dragonhead hook, with a circular stud on the reverse, the stone of very pale greenish-white colour and with a fine soft polish, Qing 13.5cm long

Provenance: Acquired by the vendor's father in the 1970's.

Appears in excellent overall condition. The lovely pale green-ish white colour with natural mottled inclusions. No obvious signs of damage or restoration. There is a small line to the stone to one end, but in our opinion this is a natural inclusion within the jade rather than later damage (please see additional images)
