Both sets of shelves require fixing to the wall, otherwise there is fair amount of side to side movement. The finials have suffered losses. There is wear to the gilding and also surface marks/scratches to each shelf. Further wear concentrated around the feet.
The shelves are painted to simulate rosewood and the timber beneath is covered.
