The brooch is in good condition, with no obvious evidence of significant wear or repair work. All stones are present and appear to be secure in their settings. The diamonds face up white and have a lively, bright character. The principal diamond displays some small clear inclusions and a few pin-prick black flecks, there inclusions evident across the other stones but the majority are quite clean. The brooch retains its foldaway diamond suspension loop for use as a pendant, the pin and rollover clasp function securely, however the screw fitting used to attach the pin has seized so the pin cannot be removed - the screw fitting has the number '328' engraved as well as some scratched inventory/catalogue numbers. The brooch has a gross weight of c. 5.9g.
