A CHINESE CYLINDRICAL VASE
the porcelain Jingdezhen circa 1720, enamelling added in Holland, circa 1725-30, of rouleau form, with short trumpet neck, decorated all over with carved lotus scroll pattern under the glaze and with brown glazed rim, the decoration in the Kakiemon style, a maned dragon alternating with a phoenix above a flowering branch on each side, scrolling chrysanthemum foliage in turquoise and three gilt flowers, on a red ground around the shoulder, the neck with two flowering branches, 27.5cm high
