in the manner or Thomas Chippendale with padded scroll arms and serpentine seats, the hipped and moulded cabriole legs terminating in scroll toes and leather-clad castors, 58cm wide (2)

The Courtney chair bears the label of “Sir B.R. Graham Bart”.

This exceptional pair of chairs are in good country house condition. There is wear and surface marks consistent with age and use. One of the chairs has had the front legs restored with the bottom halves being replaced large splices to the back legs. Both have  areas of restoration to the underside with replaced elements for reinforcement. The upholstery is clean with one small area of restoration to the back of one. They both sit well and sturdy (please see additional images)
