circa 1750, in the manner of William Kent with later green marble tops, 40cm wide

Provenance: Bt. Christie’s Geneva, May 8th 1973, Lot 99, from the Collection of King Umberto of Italy.

Exhibited: On loan to the Ditchley Foundation from 1974 – 1986.

In good overall condition. There is some wear and surface marks to the gilding consistent with age and use. There are some small splits to the surface of the wings and a later layer added of the marble tops to sit on. The marble has some surface marks consistent with age and use apart from this they are in very good overall condition with no breakages or restorations (please see additional images)
