AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF A RARE IMPERIAL RUSSIAN BRUNSWICK RIFLE
the backplate is stamped PJ Malherbe & Cie / A Liege, this shows the rifle was made in Liege, Belgium under contract by the Russians. The lock is stamped 944 which matches the number on the butt plate ‘944’ along with the Russian Imperial Eagle of Tsar Nicholas I; overall an excellent example and highly collectable

The rifle retains a lot of original finish on the barrel and the wood over all is in excellent condition. The barrel has all the correct proof marks, the lock itself is tight at full and half cock and can be dry fired. The ram rod is with the gun, the wood on the rifle is excellent shape, just normal light wear.
