A DANISH WALNUT VENEERED AND PARCEL-GILT STANDING CORNER CUPBOARD

circa 1740, with a moulded swan neck pediment centred by a giltwood urn finial, mounted with flowers over an arched door set with a bevelled mirror, within a parcel-gilt border moulded with leafy scrolls and rocaille-work on a pounced ground, the base with a crossbanded cupboard and shaped bracket feet, 218.44cm high x 94cm wide

Evidence of old worm. Escutcheons replaced. Feet likely repaired/replaces. Some splits and old repairs to the veneer apparent. Mirror and mirror back likely later. Small chips and losses to the gilt moulding, notable a small loss to the finial, as well as some wear, consistent with age and use. Slight discolouration.
