Note: Douglas was born at Plymouth in 1788, he joined HMS Achille from the Ville de Paris in April 1805. He was midshipman at Trafalgar and involved in the action off Rohefort in 1806. He was awarded prize money of £10. 14s. 2d. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 1809, Commander in 1823, and Captain in 1851. Died at Lewisham in Kent on 21st December 1866.
