three-piece construction, the pin and catch are present on the reverse, with the pin bearing the maker mark of 'H.B.G'; together with a second 1939 award, 'Spange', attached by solder during WW2, the pin and catch have been removed from the back of the spange to help it sit better on the recipient's uniform, a superb quality set in excellent condition, retaining much of the original finish, with hardly any paint loss to the cross, 22.5g
