A LATE 18TH CENTURY INDIAN MATCHLOCK HUNTING GUN
over 5ft long, originating from India, circa late 18th to early 19th century, depicted on the stock is the shooting of a tiger which in turn is chasing a variety of game along the full length of the barrel, the lock movement works free and easy, overall condition is very good, with just age related wear and chips to the paint in some areas

the wooden stock stamped '7 1882', showing this was probably issued in 1882, the lock plate stamped with the Victorian Crown and 'Enfield 1877 I.C.I.', the barrel has all the appropriate proof marks, the gun can be dry-fired and is an obsolete calibre .577/450, the near sight has a leather protector in place

A rare gun, being one of the first batch produced. Overall, it is in very good condition, with some expected marks to the wood and light pitting to the metal. The gun has been oiled and looked after.

1822 pattern, the sword shows overall signs of age and use, the grip and wire are complete, with some loss of gilt to the pommel and guard, the blade 82.6cm, etched but faded, the maker looks to be 'Wilson', the blade shows signs of pitting consistent with age, the leather scabbard retains all the fittings but is brittle in places, overall a solid example
