Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.

In historic country house condition with old repairs, particularly to the lower section of one leg, consistent with age and the materials employed. The underside of the seat with later blocking glued in place. The seat appears to be original but could be an old replacement. The seat is faded and worn to a slightly golden colour but the frame retains the dark polish and crusty surface associated with the finest early oak.
