by “C. Bechstein, Berlin”, numbered 90857, circa 1909, in an ebonised case with turned and faceted octagonal tapering legs ending in brass toe caps and castors, 145cm wide x 99cm high; together with a modern piano stool with an adjustable buttoned leather seat, 61cm wide (2)

Provenance: According to family records, the piano was purchased by Anthony Medlycott, circa 1935.

In historic country house condition consistent with age and the materials employed. There is significant fading to the ebonised body. There are general chips to the legs and extremities commensurate age and small areas of worming.

The modern stool is in good overall condition with chips and wear to the corners especially the feet.

The keyboard is ivory.
