Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.

Both are faded with age, with pulls, staining and losses to threads.

The coif has missing sequins but generally there are still vibrant overall for their age. It has an area of localised staining in a far corner, but this does not detract from the fabric’s craftsmanship. It is now on gauze backing.

The stomacher is mounted on hessian and has evidence of repairs.

There is fading and discoloration and a ‘loss of definition’ to the pattern especially to the leaves and petals of the flower design which are black. However the knotting is still vibrant.
