Provenance: According to family records, the gros point needlework seat was worked by Julia Ann, Lady Medlycott, circa 1910. Apparently these chairs were part of the furnishings at Ven, Milborne Port.

In historic country house condition consistent with age and the materials employed.

Condition and wear consistent with age. One chair with repair to the side of the splat. Evidence of worm (apparently historic and not active). One chair with a different frame to the other.

Elbow chair: The tapestry seat is faded. There are reinforcing wooden brackets to the underside.
