A GEORGE III MAHOGANY AND BRASS BOUND CELLARETTE

with applied lion mask handles and heavy lions paw feet, containing original lead liner, a label to the interior reads 'This wine cooler was left to me - his Churchwarden by the Rev. Bourcher-Wrey- Rector of Ideford: he died 1936', 50.5cm high x 77cm wide x 46cm deep

This lot is in good country house condition.

There are nicks, scratches and staining commensurate with age but this does not detract from the aesthetics or stability of the piece.

There are splits to veneers commensurate with age

The liner appears to be original and has staining to the interior.

The lock is a replacement (the lid fits flush) and there appears to be an old repair at the hinges which is minor situation and an old insignificant repair to one edge of the lid which is barely discernible and sensitive
