A CHINESE JADE 'DRAGON AND PHOENIX' PENDANT

probably Han dynasty, finely carved and pierced with a dragon to one side and a phoenix the other, with all over incised scroll decoration, 5.2cm high x 3.2cm wide, in a fitted wooden case

Provenance: An English private collection.
Acquired in Tokyo in the 1990's by the grandfather of the present owner, and thence by descent.
