possibly Shang or Western Zhou period, carved in ring form, the dragons head eating its tail, with incised decoration, 4.7cm diameter, in a fitted wooden box

Provenance: An English private collection.
Acquired in Tokyo in the 1990's by the grandfather of the present owner, and thence by descent.

Overall in fair condition. Rubbed and worn to the edges and incised decoration. Fritting to the internal rim. No major damages or restoration.
