Note: The H.M.S. Emperor of India was laid down in 1912 and named after King George V. After launching in 1913 she joined the 4th Battle Squadron of the Grand Fleet, based at Scapa Flow. During the First World War she took part in numerous sorties into the North Sea to enforce the blockade of Germany, along with frequent training exercises and gunnery drills. Subsequently she was sent to the Mediterranean Fleet, where she assisted in the Allied intervention in the Russian Civil War, in the Black Sea, from 1919–1921.
This model's keel was first laid around 1962 and is about 85% complete, needing some small deck fittings, a stream plant, and final painting/finishing. She is offered with some additional fittings, the Admiralty Drawings she was built from and a number of early photographs of the ship at sea.
