A PART BLOOR DERBY PORCELAIN BOTANICAL SERVICE

c.1820, marked to the base, each piece decorated with flora and inscribed to the underside with the name, with blue borders and gadrooned rims highlighted in gilt, comprising three tureens, one with a stand, 30cm high, five serving plates, the largest 41cm wide, four large bowls, 25cm diameter, sixteen large plates, 27.5cm diameter, and eleven smaller plates, 22.5cm diameter (a lot)

Provenance: Donald Bannatyne (1805-1863) and Janet Boyle (1814-1887), thence by family descent. 

In fair condition throughout, with a number of notable damages and restorations, including old stapled repair to a tall tureen cover, repair to low tureen cover, hairline to other tall tureen bowl, a few cracks and restorations to plates/bowls, a few small chips also. 

Some rubbing to the decoration and gilt throughout, and some light surface scratching and wear, commensurate with age and use. 

One plate has a different tone of blue to the glaze. Some are stained/discoloured to the body. 

A few have been wall mounted and have marks to the edges from the stands.
