QSA - 6115 Pte S Batchelor RL: WT: Surrey Regt KSA - 6115 Pte S Batchelor The Queens R Stephen Batchelor was born in Reigate Surrey, he attested age 19 stating he was still serving with the Militia. Saw during the Boer War and was awarded the Queens South Africa Medal with bars Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal and Kings South Africa Medal with bars 1901 and 1902. In December 1902 he spent two weeks in prison for an undisclosed offence. Discharged to reserves in 1907. Medals confirmed on the roll and in his service papers. Medals officially and correctly impressed. Condition NGVF
