1953 MG T-TYPE TD

1953 MG T-TYPE TD Registration Number: LGE 75 Chassis Number: TD 27923 Engine Number: 28256 The MG TD is an open two-seater roadster updated from the earlier TC model. It was designed with a wider cockpit and a new and improved independent front suspension system. As well as this the adapted Y-type chassis and a new steering mechanism made the handling considerably sharper. These developments resulted in the TD almost tripling the sales of its predecessor. The engine remained the same 1250cc XPAG unit, but the smaller wheels and the low flowing body all helped establish this as the car that felt and looked like the best roadster of the series. This MG comes with extensive service history and photographs recording its construction.
