ASHANTEE MEDAL 1873/74 TO BUTCHER VOSPER HMS SIMOOM Correctly engraved T. Vosper Butcher HMS Simoom 73-74 Condition = EF+ In Original box of issue with a photograph of the recipient in later years. Thomas Vosper was born in St. Domenick Cornwall on 25th September 1850. He joined the Royal Navy on 1st January 1873 as a Butcher. He saw service on Impregnable and R Adelaide, before serving on HMS Simoom in the Ashantee Campaign. The medal is confirmed on the rolls.
