Charles Henry Frost Bagley was born in Hartburn, Stockton on Tees on October 4th 1883. In civilian life, he worked as an Engineer, travelling to New York and Canada for work. He served in the 5th Bn of the Durham Light Infantry, landing in France on July 13th 1915. He survived the war and passed away in 1934.

Wicks was wounded in Africa on 11th June 1942 at El Alamein and reported missing. In 1943 it was confirmed he had died of wounds. He is remembered on the El Alamein Memorial. The naming was likely done by the family in remembrance.
