MEMORIAL PLAQUE TO WILLIAM HENRY MARWICK MM, 6TH INNISKILLINGS
William Henry Markwick was born in Brighton.

As a member of the 6th Bn Royal Iniskillings Fusiliers, he landed in France on the 16th of December, 1914. He is entitled to a 1914/15 Trio; he won the Military Medal, which was announced in the London Gazette on the 21st of August 1917.

Sadly Markwick was killed in action on the 24th of March 1918 and is remembered on the Pozieres Memorial.
